My Stories of
Travel
I love to travel! It is something that brings me a lot of joy and has always helped to expand my perspective on life and evaluate how I want to move through the world.
Having said that, depending on the location, it can be more challenging and emotionally taxing for me to exist in some countries compared to others. Because of the prejudices and cultural stigmas that exist in our world - racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, among others - a traveler's identity may be targeted within a particular context. For myself, in my travels, I have experienced different forms of prejudice or hostility based on my gender, my disability, and my sexuality.

In this page, I will share my reflections on my travels, both local and international, and share some of my insights into different cultural contexts. I will also share tools I have learned to cope with stigma and how I balance respecting cultural norms of other countries when those norms marginalize and exclude particular communities.
